The Diaphragm is presented as the engine of a great machine. Essay on Impermanence is developed through a series of moving images that point to some reflections on virtual reality and immateriality. Through presence-capturing software, real-time animated simulations are produced acting out patterns of mathematical models according to movement. The result is the revelation of invisible micro-movements. With eyes closed and ajar, the performer seeks to activate the link between interior and exterior and to question the possibilities of existence in virtuality, as a failed attempt to extend time through its permanence. The body moving all around the installation defines the image and relates to it in continuous feedback.
